General

What areas do you cover?
D&D Maintenance covers the whole of the UK, including England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland. We have engineers available nationwide for domestic, commercial, and industrial projects.
Are your engineers fully qualified and insured?
Yes. All D&D Maintenance engineers are fully qualified in their respective trades, NICEIC registered for electrical work, and fully insured with public liability cover.
How do I get a quote?
You can request a free no-obligation quote by contacting us via our online form, phone, or email. We typically respond within one business day and will provide a clear, fixed-price quote before any work begins.
Do you offer emergency callout services?
Yes. We provide 24/7 emergency callout services for urgent repairs across all our service areas — domestic, commercial, and industrial.

Electrical Services

What is an EICR and do I need one?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a formal inspection of your electrical installation by a qualified electrician. Landlords are legally required to have one every 5 years. Homeowners and businesses should also have regular inspections for safety.
How long does an EICR take?
The time depends on the size of the property. A standard domestic EICR typically takes 2–4 hours. Commercial properties may take longer. We will give you an estimated duration when booking.
What is a consumer unit upgrade?
A consumer unit (also called a fuse box) upgrade replaces your old fuse board with a modern unit fitted with RCD and RCBO protection. This is often required to meet current safety standards, particularly for rental properties.
Can you install EV charging points?
Yes. We are OZEV-authorised installers of EV charging points for both domestic and commercial properties. We can help with charger selection, installation, and OZEV grant applications where applicable.
What is PAT testing?
PAT (Portable Appliance Testing) is the inspection and testing of electrical appliances to ensure they are safe. It is commonly required for businesses, schools, and commercial premises. We provide a full asset register and certificate on completion.

Commercial & Industrial

What is a PPM contract?
A Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) contract is a scheduled maintenance programme for your premises. Regular visits help prevent breakdowns, extend asset lifespan, and maintain compliance records. We offer tailored PPM contracts for all types of commercial and industrial premises.
Can you work out of hours to minimise business disruption?
Yes. We regularly carry out maintenance works outside of normal business hours — evenings, weekends, and holidays — to minimise disruption to your operations.
Do you manage full fit-out projects?
Yes. Our project management team can handle full commercial fit-outs and refurbishments from design through to completion, coordinating all trades under a single contract.
Do you provide maintenance documentation and compliance records?
Yes. All maintenance visits are fully documented and we provide compliance records, test certificates, and servicing reports as required.

Domestic Services

Do you carry out small domestic repairs?
Yes. We carry out all sizes of domestic repair jobs — from a single leaking tap to a full bathroom installation. No job is too small.
Are you insured to work in my home?
Yes. All our engineers hold full public liability insurance and we are NICEIC registered for electrical work.
Can you manage my kitchen or bathroom installation project?
Yes. We provide a full project management service for kitchen and bathroom installations, coordinating plumbing, electrical, tiling, and joinery under one contract.
